The eligibility criteria for the JEE Main 2014 is quite simple and candidates who satisfy all the criteria would be able to sit for the examination. There will be two types of examination this year, the online and offline mode. In the online mode candidates would have to give the answers to the questions via the internet. In the offline examination candidates would have to give a written examination and the best part is they can appear in both the written and the online examination. Candidates whose date of birth is after 1st October 1988 will be able to appear for the examination. If the candidate’s date of birth is before the specified date then he or she would be disqualified in the first instance. The candidates who have passed their last qualifying examination in the year 2012 or 2013 will be able to appear for the JEE Main 2014 examination. If the candidate fails to crack the examination in the first attempt then he can give the examination another time as well. But the maximum number of times he can appear for the exam is three times and he would have to pass in any of the three attempts he makes.
